PSA: Stunning Eclipse zebra refinish with extra pickup

Is it me or the picture angle.  The strings look like the don’t line up properly over the pickups, or the pickups look a little crooked.  

 
The dots are off-center, too.

ETA: Dave has never owned an uncool guitar. Ever.

He's actually got the ruby slippers Les Paul Signature and the L-5 listed, as well (documented on the HFC some time back).  Always tastefully done, fantastic guitars!

Good eye!  I thought it was odd that there was no full on shot of the complete guitar from straight ahead.  This just goes to show the value of this kind of image.

 
Wow!  Not sure what photo has you guys spooked, but here's a photo from the original NGD post (it's archived, so it requires a right click on the JPG links and then a choice of "open in new tab") - different pickups, but I think you can see clearly the strings are aligned properly.

Are there Hamer USA's in the wild with crooked string alignment?  I've never heard of it, but I've only been on the board around twelve years. 

 
I'm thinking of pausing the sale and reverting back to the original chrome pickup rings.  Which do you all think looks best, black or chrome:
