Steve Haynie
There is one more reason to want to get a Telecaster and then give up on it knowing I will not play like Roy Buchanan.
diablo175
From that same show, I believe, my fave Roy jam. Kinda similar song themes, too
Jakeboy
Roy was such a monster. Him and Danny Gatton both just killed it each time....

He did Purple Haze too, and blew the roof off the place! And a couple months later, he was gone. That one bothered me a lot.
Dutchman
There’s a certain kind of magic that happens when you crank a Fender wide open. Roy embraced that! And then tried to blow it up!!
django49
Saw him live exactly once. As best I can tell, he turned every knob on a Twin Reverb (mounted on a folding metal chair) to 10, then let it rip.....Aimed straight at us. The ladies in the party ran off to the bathroom and came back with toilet paper hanging outta their ears. He WAS great, but man alive....A Twin on 10 when he plays those licks off the end of the neck! It just screamed.
