79Sunburst
I have only seen rosewood boards. I was wondering if any if at all were made with ebony boards during that era.
79Sunburst
I guess not. Was wondering about 4 digit with ebony boards. Sorry for the new guy question.

cmatthes
Yes they do. I've seen at least one black one with an Ebony board, and there's at least one cherryburst '79 with an ebony board.

Disturber
Doesn't Hamericas Super Ultimate 4-digit Vector have the same fretboard as that Standard, 0055? I have not seen a picture of that one in a looong time. Hamerica, or someone else, please post. 🙂

Just not a good fit on the Standard IMO.

I thought that Gibson inlays were made of "mother of toilet seat" instead of mother-of-pearl. In case you are not aware of this, "pearloid" is a fancy way of saying plastic.
