VECTOR
Who can help? What standard DiMarzio or Duncan Pickup comes closest to the end 70s/ early 80s cream colored Hamer Bridge Pickups? I love how they sound and think about to swap the JB on a 90s Special. Thanks!
Disturber
Try to find an older, 1980's or if you are lucky 1970's, Dimarzio DP103 PAF. They are almost identical to what was in the early Hamer's. Here is a great looking set: https://www.ebay.de/itm/324770196861?hash=item4b9dcfed7d:g:1G0AAOSwY1Ng6xMV Two other: https://www.ebay.de/itm/174918203056?hash=item28b9eff6b0:g:IN4AAOSw4h1f6l1- https://www.ebay.de/itm/174917280517?hash=item28b9e1e305:g:noMAAOSwIStgOiKY

Have @JGravelinbuild you one. It’ll be the closest you can get without sourcing an OEM/stock pickup from a 70’s/80’s Hamer. https://www.hamerfanclub.com/forums/topic/89971-hamer-prototype-pickups-sets-single-coils-and-slammers/?tab=comments#comment-1031938

Jakeboy
I have one of JG’s Slammer repros as well and it freaking rocks!
Kookaburra
Any suggestions for an off the shelf model? I’m in the same position as the OP. The Air Classic, PAF Master, PAF 59, and the 36th Anniversary all are in the area. I don’t know the details of how they differ though.
cynic
Back when the 36 anni's were still relatively new I saw many favorable comparisons here between them and the original Dimarzio PAF's used by Hamer in the 70s/80s guitars. I have no first hand experience but saw it repeated often enough that for something off the shelf the 36s would be my first go.
tbonesullivan
The 36th anniversary PAFs are incredible pickups. The "virtual PAF" pickups are also nice.
