JustKid
Waiting for another 25 lots with same guitar. Vivat Japan!
Bennyboy-UK
I've found the store its in - its actually about £1,300 or $1,795. I'd expect to see 5% discount for buying it internationally, and that would probably cover the shipping. Thats a bit of a bargain...

Just noticing the pickup array -- is it possible to run an EMG (bridge) coupled with two passive pickups?

It’s a bit of a bodge, but not too tricky to sort out put a set of pickups which will happily work together after you get it.

If you’re in US ask him to use EMS postal service, which he’ll probably do anyway. Made in USA on the form and you good to go.

Those Japanese stores have lots of cool stuff! I emailed them twice so far... no answer. I asked for a price with shipping. Please feel free to reach out to them and purchase it. I've purchased 2 USA Hamers from Japan. It is important to have the description on export paperwork say it is a Hamer Guitar manufactured in the USA returning to USA with SN. There are no import fees on that. I had to fight with DHL about this. According to cbp.gov no duties or import fees are required for items manufactured in the USA returning to the USA from Japan. https://help.cbp.gov/s/article/Article-375?language=en_us I hope this helps. scottcald
Thanks, it does help. Just wanted the info for future reference, not enough free cash right now for that one. I do have a Chap, though not that pretty.

burningyen
Does anyone know why there are so many duplicate listings out of Japan?
aliparla
IIRC is a new step in the flipping game: they make a listing with the pics from the original ad and if someone buys it, they automatically buy it from the original seller and resend it when it arrives. DHL, UPS FedEx and other private companies charge broker's fees - those are not tax duties, it's what they charge for the papers they supposedly fill for the package to enter the country. Usually $65-80 ( last time I paid broker's fees to Fedex about $70) If it goes regular post office, preferably EMS - no charge
