mirrorimij
Why did I think the Whitford Korina Standard had been stolen? Anybody? Question for Mike or Dave??? Didn’t Frank U loan the band another Korina Standard right after the move to CT because Brad’s was stolen or did those brain cells go up in smoke? a.bandini
"It is fur lined." No doubt this refers to the case for the Whitford Explorer (a nice guitar, but not at that price) but as written, the meaning is ambiguous.

I don't understand why people want to pay extra for instruments that have been out on the road with anybody, famous or not. And anytime I read "player-grade" instrument, I think, "another person too lazy to put the guitar in a case" I'll take the closet classic every time, thank you. I can see the added interest in a celebrity owned piece of gear, but it depends on the gear and the celebrity, and to me Whitford doesn't apply. I remember being interested in Walter Becker's purple Hamers that were part of his Julien's auctions, but only because I figured that he probably never played them at all. Man, those prices were insane! https://www.juliensauctions.com/auctions/2019/Walter_Becker/Walter_Becker_Flipping_Book/421/

Nobody is writing on one of my guitars. I don't care if it's Gary Moore from beyond the grave!
scottcald
Yeah, to me, it's not like suddenly that celebrity's guitar is going to make me play like them or give me access to their cars or money, so I don't care about who owned it either. But, marketers rule the world now, so there you go.
soli'd
I bought a couple pedal boards from a guy in Nashville named Sean Paden, he did a lot of big-tour roadie/tech work, wonder if it's the same guy that owned/worked on this Vector.

I always think player guitars have been played and are good at the very least. Closet queens not so sure. I bought all my old jrs as player grade and only one was not up to par. Ymmv.
