Dutchman
Reverb has increase seller fee's from 6% to 8%. I guess to try to remain viable after the seller stall going on with the 1099 issue. The one piece of good news is they are petitioning to have congress raise the 1099 issuance back up to $20,000.00 from the $600.00 trigger initiation that has recently been put into force. Sign the petition, and let's get back to swapping musical gear and losing money at it!!! If this is deemed political please delete! It was meant to be informative. https://reverb.com/page/1099advocacy Edited August 30, 2022 by Dutchman
MCChris
"I play in a band and gig often, and using Reverb to buy and sell guitars helps me stay creative and keep my playing fresh." What a load of horseshit. 1 4

kizanski
Just now, MCChris said: Actually four by my count. Yes! Right you are. "I play in a band and gig often, and using Reverb to buy and sell guitars helps me stay creative and keep my playing fresh." No you don't and no you don't. No it doesn't and no it doesn't. 1

I guarantee that "testimonial" was crafted by someone at Reverb (not that the typical Reverb user/Rear Pager doesn't have those delusions).
Steve Haynie
It is good to know that Reverb and eBay are at least doing something. Petitions do not mean much, though. Lobbyists do.
LucSulla
Honestly, now that I've done it once, I'd rather expense a 1099 back to zero, which isn't hard, and have my 2% back.
scottcald
Yeah, as long as no one is under the delusion that Reverb's trying to help us out. This is simply to reduce cost and effort for them. Benefit to us is just something they can market. 3
mudshark
If I can't sell it either local or at the HFC, I'm keeping it.
atomicwash
The thing that blows me away is the 1099's $600 threshold was set in 1954 and never updated! JESUS! My house value seems to be updated every couple years. Hmmm. Edited September 2, 2022 by atomicwash
