Also, how does the rock maple top compare to the Spruce top in terms of warmth and sustain. I know how the spruce tops sounds and I like them-I'm just wondering how different they are.
kizanski Posted April 5, 2006 Author Posted April 5, 2006 Yep - it has the Seth's in it.This is my 2nd Newport, the 1st being an Orange Sparkle spruce top.IMO the maple makes it a little tighter, and adds to the definition of the notes, even when the distortion box is stepped on.It really is a wonderful instrument.
