Rock & Roll history: Previously undisclosed medical issues for one of the founders (from Ferriday, Louisiana)

Recommended Posts

Speaking of early R&R songs about maladies and ailments, I was just thinking about the song “Poison Ivy” randomly, and unintentionally mixing it up it in my memories with “Love Potion #9”, both of which my Father used to sing, haha.

Cool chord progressions- Good stuff.

Okay, I'll play: "Jeremiah Peabody's Polyunsaturated Quick-Dissolving Fast-Acting Pleasant-Tasting Green and Purple Pills" (Ray Stevens) and "Doctor Please" (Blue Cheer). Talk about juxtaposition....! And a live version of "Doctor Please", recorded at the Rockpalast in 2008, clocks in at 25:08.
