So I could not resist.

I am a sucker for red guitars.

This one popped up in Belgium, at a village next to where my sister lives.
82 Sunburst..
Bought it unseen, resides with my sister now.
What can I expect compared to my ‘78?

Depending on when your ‘78 was made, the bridge will be different. My ‘78 had the original sourced bridge that was shimmed with pickguard plastic. Later on Hamer made the sustain block. Thicker baseplate, no shim. The extra bridge material will give it a bit more brightness. And don’t quote me, but I think the necks were a little thinner in ‘82. My ‘78 had a decent sized neck. A bit flat in the carve. More of a D shape than a round C.

I regret selling a Ferrari Red ‘82 I had - GREAT neck on that one!

Congrats Conrad, and good to see you here again!

I'd say you can never tell one Sunbursts likeness to another. I have one 78 and three 79's. None two of them are the same. Different necks, different sound and different weight.
