I sure hope not but then again I have not seen snow in over 10 years so there’s that. Looking forward to seeing some folks I haven’t seen in about that same amount of time.

Latino theme for Quatro de Mayo?

Quattro de Mayo, 2015, Boston, Mass: the last time I had Jameson whiskey. 
Ask me why I remember.

Why do you remember?

I remember meeting friends at a bar a few hours after they had arrived and uttering the now regretful words, “I have to catch up.”
Nothing good ever happened on a night where one says, “I need to catch up,” particularly when one sets out to “catch up” by drinking Jameson.
What followed was a bar crawl around south Boston, closing one bar after another. Through some stroke of “luck,” as we closed one bar we would see another and get told as we entered that we “had time for just one drink” before they closed.  This happened at least three times. It was my undoing.

I can still feel the dry heaves, the nausea and the ice pick headache I had the following morning.
Never again, Jameson.  Even the commercials make my stomach turn over.

So, looks like this party is shaping up.  We'll start early, and likely end early as well as I will be leaving bright and early the next morning for a few days away.  

Party time is 3:00 - 10:00pm.  I'll put wieners on the grill at 5:00, and we'll have the usual pot of chili and some queso dip.
