Accessing a truss rod at the body of the bass (as opposed to the headstock)

HI All, I am thinking about buying a Fender Jazz bass where any truss rod adjustment requires me to loosen the screws that hold the neck to the body.  It seems to me that after some adjustments, this could strip the wood at that spot.  Am I on track with that logic? Thanks, Marc

EBMM Albert Lee HH - all rosewood neck!

Tempting, for sure.  Years ago I had one with a maple neck and P-90s.  I sold it here b/c I did not like the PUs.    If we had not had sooooo many unexpected expenses recently, I'd be PMing you, I think.

    MXR EVH Overdrive?

I have listened to the reviews online and am considering buying this pedal.  But you all here are held in high regard when it comes to honest and well thought out reviews of gear.  So, have any of you all used this pedal, and if so, what is your opinion? Thanks in advance for your posts. Marcus2

    Surround sound recommendations?

We got the Bose speaker. It is pretty cool. The new version also has bluetooth.

    Breedlove guitars

Any folks here have experience with Breedloves? In particular, the stage concert series (set up in the U.S. from Korean made parts): http://breedlovemusic.com/guitars/stage-series/concert-2015 Thanks in advance for any comments. Marc

Greg Koch does not get enough love. Damn.

He's a hometown hero for me. I grew up buying gear from him at the old Cascio Music store in Milwaukee. The man is hysterical and I have seen him sit in with Joe Bonamassa a few times. He is beyond great.

    Tech21 Powerengine FS

Hi everyone, I am selling my Tech21 Powerengine. It has served me well amplifying my modeling amps in a way that does not color their sound. http://greenbay.craigslist.org/msg/5000745678.html If there are any HFCers in northeast WI that are interested, I will offer them a discount off the...

    Yes! I mean, RUSH!

I missed the last 2 tours because I was out of town for work. Those were the only tours I missed since 1984. Sadly, I will miss one, too. Even as a huge fan, the ticket prices (even non-VIP) are getting a bit high when all is considered (I know, I know, their shows are great).

Alvarez Yairi. The Hamer of acoustics? (With gettin' old content)

+1 I have the same model and adore it. It is gorgeous and sounds lovely. I had been casually looking for years and I knew right away it was the acoustic for me. Plus, Joe Bonamassa played a few on his last tour and he is no stranger to great guitars.

    PSA: Californian & a story

When I was in grad school in Bloomington, IN, (mid 1990s) local pawnshops had Centauras and Chapparrals at the HFC approved $350. I was in grad school, so that meant selling too much plasma at the time to finance the purchase...

    Holy F*ck!

He worked at the local music shop (Cascio Music) outside of Milwaukee when I was in college (early 90s). I remember sales reps coming in with gutiars and he'd try them out. Even the sales reps were impressed with his skills. He is also laugh out loud funny. I think the fact that he does not...

    PRS purge at GC

My PRS guitars are all unbelievably good. My kids will inherit them. The only one I'll sell is my Custom 24 simply b/c my 22 fret PRSs just sound better to me. But it's still an outstanding instrument.
