i have a fender sk-100b amp head running through an old speaker which works fine for what i need it for. had them both for about a year and never had any problems. i don't have enough outlets so i plug the head and effects pedal into a surge protector (its a small apartment). today, everything turns on fine like usual but i don't get that little 'pop' that lets you know its on and i have no sound. i unlpug everything, check things out and don't see any problems. just for the hell of it i plug everything (effects pedal and all) into another socket and works like new.
i don't know anything technical about amps so just wondering if this could be a sign of a problem. changing outlets sort of makes me think the original outlet just wasn't putting out as much electricity as usual (if that makes any sense).
again, i'm pretty ignorant when it comes to amps so if this a completely retarded question let me have it. any thoughts are welcome.
oh and i know there was a post a couple weeks ago about my chemical romance. they are playing here in state college april 29th so pretty excited about that...anyone seen them in concert? i've got tickets but id like to know what i can expect. thanks
