Bob davis Model??????????

I've seen gold logos before. I've also seen (BroChris owns one) headstock signatures.

Of course, on BroChris', I can't tell whose sig it is!

very cool but what is this:

With that back plate shape you would think that it was possible to get a four knob Special, but nooooo.

Volume pot looks funny because of the switch for of the bridge pickup (the EMG 89 can switch between HB and single coil modes).

Middle tone pot is probably and EMG RPC or EXG and the second tone pot is probably an EMG SPC. Just a guess of course but it's all definitely EMG made.

And some of us know that EMG's rule. Like Gilmour and Lukather and Wylde and... ME!

Flame on!

I went and saw this guitar. It's very nice. The color is faded for sure. It appears all original, and no it doesn't say USA under the logo (but the serial number is where it should be). The neck has some of the nicest birdseye I've ever seen and the ebony fretboard is SLICK! The body is a great hunk of wavy maple, but its thin and has really rounded edges like Carvins (I didn't care for that).

You can have a 4 knob Special if your willing to pay for it.

My Blades Bass had 4 knobs.

Yes indeed!!!

Nice Bass Peter. /emoticons/default_biggrin.png

Looks like it has the original white with black hardware back on it.

I know everyone here loves that color too. I always thought it was cool myself. That was my main axe for many years. One of the best playing basses I've ever had the pleasure of owning.

I think that bass had white (or white/black or white/gold?) powdercoated hardware on it originally. That was an upcharge item back then.

I've always dug the color scheme on that one too, BTW...

Me, too, I love the white coated hardware. Chris is right that it is a powder coating. Some of us "old guys" might remember when Kahler came out with the different color powder coated trems.....

White/Gold and White/Black it all looks hot!
