Eclipse question

Were there a lot of stoptail Eclipse guitars made?

I know they were mostly wraps, and the imports had the stoptail, but have been getting that Eclipse itch, and ws considering looking for a stoptail model

My two '96 Eclipses are both wraptails and my '97 is a stop tail. I've never seen a wraptail newer than '96 and never seen a stop tail older than a '97. Perhaps they switched at the time they moved.

I had a '97 Eclipse in TV Yellow that had three factory-installed SD FB style HBs and a stoptail (or TOM and stoptail, I prefer saying this to prevent confusion with a Wilkinson wraptail). I had a few pre-'97 Eclipses with stock Wilkinson wraptail bridges, from what I remember the sonic difference wasn't all that different between the two types of bridges. Got rid of them all because of the usual complaint...the stock SD pickups.

My 12-string Eclipse still has the stock Duncans, but the other two both have DiMarzio Minis and they sound killer.
I"ve got a 12-string with stock Duncans, a 6-string with DiMarzio minis and another 6-string with Duncan Antiquity minis. All great guitars.

And I'd like a USA Eclipse with a TOM as well. Please let me know if you find one that you decide not to pull the trigger on!
