ES335-size cases?

I have a couple sub-$300 335-size guitars and only one case, and that one is a snug fit for the Peerless Bird-of-Prey (LP Signature knockoff). Any recommendations for a case or bag in the cheap range? I know Mono gets a whole lotta love, but a bag that costs more than the guitar......well, no.

Whaddaya got?

Just my 2 cents......Agree with the cost analysis. Now IF you have a bunch of other guitars (some outside the $300 range) a one time buy might make sense.
For me, I want the good case (that works all around) when going out. If my sub $300 guitars sit in a stand or on a shelf at home, I am okay with that.....I have used that $300 gig bag on umpteen guitars and gigs over more than a decade and think it was a smart move. And my back is happy.

YMMV, of course.

At this point I doubt they'll be getting out much, hence the 'cheap' bit. Really just need something to keep the dust off sitting here on the shelf.

And trust me, the non-cheap guitars here have the proper overly protective cases. In fact I just learned that my Shishkov doublecut fits really well in a Gator ATA Les Paul case for when I fly out to LA for all those recording sessions I'm always doing. It happens all the time.

For those flights you really NEED a Calton case! OF course the starting price for a Les Paul fitting one STARTS at $1500 these days. The only reason I have one is that I got it for free when I bought a high end guitar years ago....Sold the guitar with a lesser case for a small profit. So, actually, less than free. Not that I USE it. :cautious:

Seriously though. IF you have the dimensions of the "smaller than 335" guitar, it should be easy to find a suitable "dust cover". Will not swear, but I MAY have something like that in my pile of old stuff in the storage vault...Though it may be cheaper to just snag something from Sweetwater or such rather that ship an old beater.....

Holy hell. $1500 for a case. I thought $300 for an actual SKB flight case was a lot!

Thanks for the offer. I appreciate it. I'll probably just grab the $40 World Tour bag. I have one of their Explorer/Firebird/BillyBo bags and it's more than adequate.

$1500?? Is it bulletproof?Tankproof?
