First time

Was just a sec. ago playing my ovation when I broke my E string.... Funny thing is, that this is the first time it breaks on top of my guitar so at the tuner instead of the bridge....playing for 22 years guitars and never had this before /emoticons/default_biggrin.png

stupid subject but I was really amazed!!!

I have had strings break at both the bridge and the machine heads. There is nothing unusual. Perhaps you were being a bit eccentric by only breaking strings at the bridge. Welcome to the rest of the world.

Here's one:

In over 30 years of playing, I could probably count on one hand the number of times I've had a string unravel at the ball and have the ball fall off.

It happened twice this week. High E both times. On my two favorite gigging guitars.

I'm really scared to play our next job.
