I am definitely in on an Ultimate Standard! This is a dream come true guys! Thanks Mike for doing this and thanks to all others who had a hand in making this happen.

This forum just rocks.

 
Is this a 1-man operation, or are other former Hamer artisans involved? Either way, a very cool developement and one that'll probably get my nuts in a vise at some point. I really look forward to seeing some of the builds.

The wheels are turning...........

Exactly what I thought when filling out the form. If I was late to the party for the Ultimate something will come along down the line.

 
I peed a little!

Filled out the form. No, I don't have the money in the guitar fund, but I figure my daughter can start college next semester!

Seriously: if I am fortunate enough to score a spot on the Ultimate list, you better believe I'll find the money!

I was extremely tempted by the thought of a Sustainblock, but went with Stop/TOM - who am I to mess with the proven recipe?

Yeah, I've already gotten "the look" from the wife by the mere mentioning of Mike's start up.

Her next response was, "You're not thinking of getting another custom are you?" Not so much a question, as a directive. You'd BETTER not be getting another custom!" /emoticons/default_laugh.png

Ah well, she and I have plenty of years to resolve my lapse in judgment and find forgiveness. I sense a 25.5" scale Ultimate (Standard) will be ordered soon.

While the run of Ultimate Standards is limited at the intro price, other normally-priced customs are not and from my understanding, these will be very competitively priced. I think back to those heady days of 2000-2003 or so when dreaming was affordable!

 
I just talked to Mike and he said he MAY increase the run to 25 since things are going so well. First he needs to see how many come thru with the deposit. My advice is put in an order for the special ultimate run to anyone interested that is worried about having missed it.is cause you might not have.

Starting a business is always a scary proposition but I think he and his wife are overwhelmed by and appreciative of the support. The HFC is the best.
