slighly under the ol' HFC tree-fiddy ($333 shipped, which is half of 666, hail satan).

prolly gonna pull my emi manowars out of my other cab and slap 'em in.

the other good thing is the mesa black shadow spkrs look similar to the ADA's stock celestions (grey w/ black cap),

which will make selling them as a pair easier;

What speakers are in there now? I need a 16ohm to fill out one of my Port City cabs.

I love those cabs, my favorite of all time. If I found one locally, I'd pounce immediately.

Trick for you: Cut a piece of plywood the exact size of the open back and use it as a pedalboard. Shove the pedalboard in the open hole and use bungee cords wrapped around the cab and through the side handles to speed up load in/out.

An echo here.......Find an EVM for the bottom and leave the top open. In mine, I have a V-30, left open.

Really huge sound. If you DID use it in the middle for the "dry" signal, even better (as said above). Just get someone with a younger back than mine to haul it about.

that's a great idea! i would totally do that if i used a pedalboard,

but i just have a channel switch by my micstand and a tuner & delay sitting on the cab (in the loop).

I happened upon that idea when I cut a board to see what the cab would sound like fully closed. Sounded like shit to my ear. So I was like "okay, what do I do with this piece of plywood now?"

Bingo.
