Nice Pair

Early 1984 Jackson soloists ordered by Gary Pihl of Boston.  These are the 2nd and 3rd Jackson built after Jeff Beck's pink one with three singles (defiled by Tina Turner).  Sequential serial numbers.  They have seen big stadiums with Brad playing the hard tail and Gary playing the Kahler.  They are fantastic instruments.

If we’re going way back…

1989 Charvel 750xl’s. Made in Japan for one year only. Thick mahogany body, carved maple top, 24.75” mahogany set neck with blended heel to appear neck thru.  If a Les Paul was built for shredding…

The trans red and the CSB in the middle had sequential serial numbers. The plain CSB on the right sounded ungodly….

Regerts? I've had a few. I'd take these two back.

Took some pics of these two around the same time. The black one is the best sounding stock Fender I've ever owned (Roadhouse from '97). The green one (allegedly Sherwood green but IMO way too dark for true Sherwood) is the worst sounding Fender I've ever owned. You've had those guitars that no matter what pickups are in it it still sounds terrible?

Lastly, the current pair of partscasters. The Stretchocaster II on the right is about to be torn back down for Lake Placid blue and a new tort guard. It has become an absolute favorite (Fender Player II hollow mahogany body - the whole guitar weighs right at 6 lbs.)
