So Yuri built this...

Perhaps that might be an option for Mike to use in outsourcing a Shishkov C.O. "cracked mirror" finish upgrade. /emoticons/default_wink.png

Edited for grammar.

With all due respect to Yuri,

Um

No

I'll stick to a Mike Shishkov creation, thank you.

Oooh-I want that finish on my next Shishkov!

Probably cost-prohibitive though...
Hey Steve,

If you like that finish, I'll sell you this one.

Guaranteed 7 years bad luck, maybe more.......... /emoticons/default_biggrin.png/emoticons/default_biggrin.png/emoticons/default_biggrin.png

Ha! That's pointier than I can handle.
What, too pointy!!!!! Come on now.

Next you are going to start complaining about getting a senior discount at Guitar Center and you start buying guitars and forgetting to inspect them...........

(** Just having fun with you Willie M., excuse me as I have to go put on a fresh pair of Depends).

Peter

Like it. Probably just a little more pricey than the average upgrade!

Are all those broken pieces hand cut or do they do it with temperature change to crack it?

.....or they pay Rosie O'Donnell to look in the mirror top?

Vintage Guitar did an interview with the guy who made Paul Stanley's original shattered mirror Iceman. He found that he had to draw the lines and cut each piece to make it work.

He hand cut them all.
There was a detailed story on that build that included photos of Yuri test fitting individual pieces. The man has the patience of Job, I tell you.
And if you recall, there's a detailed story about you inlaying pieces of abalone in the binding around an Artist Ultimate ( Hamer DVD 2004).
