me too, been interested in the Force, now going for the system... once they get the bugs worked out....

apparently in the first gen, the system would "lock up" and user would have to reboot, reset the software,, loosing your user presets. there has been an upgrade since then. Now all has been quiet... so far... in regards to the formentioned situation.... I really want to pull the trigger on this, but I need it to be reliable.

I plan on rack mounting the head unit with some tasty pedals in the loops, using my marshall mp1 pre amp and power amp. How are the Detunes and delay reverbs?

I have the G-Force and love it. There are some minor things around it, that I would have liked tc to change, but nothing serious.

The G-System is really neat, at least from the features and the construction. Can´t comment on sound differences, but I guess it should be near the G-Force.

Ah, that 'splains it. I have an updated system (well, I think it was a later gen when I got it, but I did an upgrade very soon after purchase). I haven't had any issues with it, other than the upgrade didn't look like it finished, when indeed it had.

Haven't used the detunes much - played a little w/the effects set up like a Whammy pedal, but not enough to be happy with them. Most likely an issue on my part, not the system's. The delays and reverbs have been wonderful. The delays actually sold me on the thing - they're supposed to be the ones TC is famous for (can't remember the model number right now - 2290s?).

I've been using a G Major for years without problem.
I am also using a G-Major. No problems at all.

Although I would like to have the added flexibility of the G-System, it is much more expensive. Last weekend I was in the music store and asked what I would get in return for my G-Major when buying a G-Sytem. I paid about $600 for my G-Major (with G-Minor pedal) less than 1.5 years ago and would get about $200 now for it, while a G-System costs about $1800.

So for now I will keep my G-Major. The sounds are quite alright, including the delays and detunes and the chorus.

Edited to correct the numbers.

i thought i'd try the new G-sharp as it was the newest one but i got it home and i can't find a way of combining the delay+chorus+reverb on it.

ypu can only use one effect and one reverb at the same time I belive

while a G-System costs about $1800.
Not in these parts (Pittsburgh) - that's about 30% more than I paid for my G-System.

That's not a GC price, is it? I've found their prices on higher-end stuff to usually be higher than the mom & pop prices around here.
