No challenge here! Plus, it's actually been EDITED, unlike that gawdawful "Burst Believers" book that hit the streets recently. That one is horribly done.

Glad you mentioned this, Chis. I was thinking about ordering that book, but it doesn't sound like it's very well put together.

 
Got mine today, very nice quality and layout, looking forward to sitting down and reading it.

I no there is an ocean between the USA and Europe, but lets be fair We have been crossing it for Century's now, people on the mayflower crossed it quicker than my book /emoticons/default_sad.png

 
I've yet to receive my preorder (arriving Tuesday) direct from the publisher and I'm on the same continent, so I doubt yours will be arriving this week.

 
Amazon is not the way to go with this book from what I understand-the publisher didn't get the books until late Wednesday, so I'd be pissed if someone charged my card before the item even existed.

I doubt retailers would even get the book before next week-I'm an hour away and I'm still waiting on the first shipment that went out Thursday!

Pimped the book on the Dean and Duncan Pickup board to positive responses. Some Hamer fans over there, not over here.

 
I received my books Saturday and had such high expectations ~ that I even left the box sealed and let it acclimate to the house's temperature for a few hours just in case ! /emoticons/default_smile.png

Seriously, the book is incredible and exceeded my already high expectations. The sucky part will be having to part with them for a brief time, while I send them off to be signed.

You both should be very proud of your work - this history/story of this great company desperately needed to be thoroughly documented for posterity and then well told. You knocked it out of the park at both (I haven't read all of it yet).

This book is AWESOME ! !

 
DAMMIT!!! I was on vacation last week and when I got home I had the dreaded message from Schiffer. I had to wait until today to call them. The good news is they said it would go right out and I should have it in a couple of days.

Got in late tonight, but the first of two shipments of the books I ordered came in today. I've got to log them in, number, sign and ship them out to people who were kind enough to order them. I'll be doing another order in a week or two depending on demand. I think these are just about all spoken for (might have a couple still-orders keep rolling in).
