The Deans came out @1982, IIRC. Never liked their take on the downsized Explorer body style for some reason.

I would have had serious GAS if it was not for the damn Floyd Rose. It makes it completely useless in my book. And it totally ruins the look of the guitar too.

Love the double binding, and the bound head stock. Love the colour on that top.

Not a real big fan of Dean Baby guitars but I do dig my one off Dean Baby Z from 2009. The lower horn on them just isn't quite "right" though. The Hamer is better proportioned but the neck access is limited on the Hamer and not on the Dean Zs.

It does - by two years. Hamer had been building them for years before that however.
