wow - mini explorer

That's pretty bad ass! Dang Floyd and being in England kills it for me. What did I read? 20ish of these Mini Standards out there.

So I guess that begs for the question...............were any of these made with a "Sustain Block" or a "Stop Tail" of some sort? VERY cool!. /emoticons/default_smile.png

Pretty cool piece!

Do these have regular standard scale length neck on a mini body...or do they use a shorter scale length ?

The auction says they're located in Germany, though it gives the starting price level as UK currency.

There were a number of them sold in Germany. Alex Parche owned a few, including one with a graphic of the W. German flag on the top.

I gotta read a little closer. It said GBP for the price so I thought it was England. /emoticons/default_unsure.png/emoticons/default_happy.png

It's funny the designer page at Hamer's website said mine was 23 3/8ths scale but it is 24 3/4ths. It is a pretty Stupid guitar. /emoticons/default_cool.png

ETA: Mine is not a 4 digit version.

I would have had serious GAS if it was not for the damn Floyd Rose. It makes it completely useless in my book. And it totally ruins the look of the guitar too.

Love the double binding, and the bound head stock. Love the colour on that top.

Is the serial 0685??

Cool guitar. Not a fan of the EMGs, but I suppose those are replaceable. Does anyone know if it left the factory with EMGs or are those aftermarket?

I should not like that guitar but it's actually pretty cool and seems like a fair price.

At the time it seemed like an interesting idea to build those small guitars. DEAN has his own version of mini explorer - Baby Z. Not sure how many he made.

The Hamer version came out a few years before the "Baby Z" models (and the "Baby V" and "Baby ML"). There are a TON of the Deans out there...
