  1. Music wise I play mainly rock/hard rock/metal. I tend to favor single cuts. I always gravitate towards those types of guitars. I always wanted an LP sytle guitar and I played a Fender for a long time before I bought my ME. When I bought the ME though, I was just in heaven. I have a Charvel Pro Mod, the Tele style one that they discontinued a few years back, that I got at a really good discount and it's a cool, fun little shredder. However, when I play my ME it just feels like....home. Hard to describe but many of you know what I mean. Heck, I go to Guitar Cener and play PRS Single Cuts, Les Pauls, etc., and they just don't feel as good as my ME. I definitely want to try other guitars and other Hamers though. One thing I would love is for the ME to have a bit better upper fret access. It's not a huge issue and I can deal with it, but it would be a nice to have not a must have.
  2. Thanks for the feedback everyone! Lots of stuff to consider and it should be fun trying to line something up. Is the neck on the Studio about same as the Monaco Elite? I love my ME neck, not too think not too fat just very comfortable.
  3. So my wife wants to buy me a guitar for my 40th in several months. She said if I see a good deal on one I should pull the trigger. Budget is around $1000. I have a Monaco Elite that I LOVE and of course I want another Hamer. Part of me wants another Monaco, another part of me wants something different like a Studio. I'm interested in the boards thoughts as to which you would choose and why and what's the major difference between the two if you have or have played both. I've never played a Studio so I have no idea what to expect tonewise, although I know it's an excellent guitar if it's a Hamer. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks! Jeff
