  1. A great big thank you to this forum and to FrankieIII ! I love Hamer guitars. Since buying my Studio some 12 years ago or so, I have been a big fan. I am the proud new caretaker of a 1995 Korina Standard limited edition previously owned by Frank. Frank is a great guy, and dealing with him was very easy. As I was telling Frank, I really believe we are just custodians of great instruments such as these. With a little luck and some care, these beautiful objects of sound & visual art will long outlive us and so eventually be passed on to others to enjoy. I tend to keep guitars that I buy, but I vowed to offer it up here first if I decided to part with it for some reason. After I get some new strings on it and noodle around, I'll post some pics of it, as well my 95 Studio. Again thanks all.
  2. Wow. That's results! Message left. Thank you!
  3. I used to have one of these years ago, an 80's model, sold it, and now I'm in a position to replace it. If anyone has one, I;m looking for a good player, doesn't have to be mint, I'm not a collector, but I'd like to be able to get my money back if I needed to sell in the future, assuming I keep it in good condition. If anyone had one they'd like to sell, or any advice, I'd like to hear from you. I'm assuming around $2000 for these, except I guess for a very early mint model. So, I found this one recently: http://sandiego.crai...2702441114.html This guitar was listed on CL a couple weeks ago for $2000 and seemed like a fair asking price? I see from a search here that $1800 was talked about as a fair price. So, I attempted to see this guitar and made repeated attempts to visit the seller with cash in hand. I spoke to him once on the phone and he had very limited windows of opportunity for showing the guitar. Finally via email he set told me he had an offer of $2300, and that I could buy it if that person didn't. I was not in a good mood that day, and frustrated replied I was moving on to other opportunities. A week later, you can see it's back on CL for $2500. These seem to be few and far between per availability, but they aren't that rare. Opinions, please on this guitar, it's value, and any other info, 'cause I really liked my old one, wish I hadn't sold it. Steve
