  2. Yep, just as soon as I'm bored with it.
  3. Turn that frown upside down! Did you notice the Chesire Cat? Sadly it got covered up with the pickups.
  4. That looks great to my eyes!!!!! Interesting knob placement. What's the setup? Also curious about those pickups. Thanks for sharing!
  5. Can't resist sharing. Finally took some of own pics.
  6. Thanks everybody!!! This thing is amazing. Especially when I split the coils, and the Trem - wow. The damn thing stays in tune like you wouldn't believe. Just got home from a 3 hour jam, mostly classic rock. Tons of Floyd. Totally blew me away. And thanks to my Mom and Dad!!!
  7. I was told it was an EARLY b-day gift. My birthday isn't for 3 months!!!
  8. I'm thinking some "Hello Kitty" stickers. That should go nicely with it. One more video:
  9. Last night I was playing at The Refectory in Portland, OR with a local blues band (http://kevinselfe.com/) and after the very first song ended, Kevin asks me to take my guitar off. I look at him with the most bewildered look, having no clue what's going on. Then he says to me again, "Go ahead, unplug it and set it down. I have something over here for you to play." I figured he was going to let me play his Gibson P90 ES-137 so I start walking over and then he says "No, over here. Go ahead and open that case there." I'm thinking to myself What The $%^&. Oh well, I'll open it. I was completely dumbfounded and couldn't even say a word. It already had a strap on it, so I pick it up and slip it over my shoulder. I walk back over to my amp and plug it in. I still haven't said a thing. The crowd is pretty much silent wondering what the hell is going on. Kevin let everybody know I couldn't speak so he asked if I could play. I gave it a strum and said "Sure thing, it's in tune." Unbeknownst to me he had played it for a bit before I got there and made sure it was all tuned up and ready to go. Then we were off to the races. For the next 3 songs I was in heaven. Something clicked and I was right in the pocket and off we went. The dance floor got full so I figure we were doing something right. Kevin kept smiling at me throughout the rest of the set and had me take most of the leads until we wrapped up the set. Thanks AGAIN Mom and Dad!!!! I'm still in shock. Introducing the "The Guitar Shop Bahama Mama #1" Specs: Review: The first thing I noticed was how light it was. Weighs in at just under 7.5 lbs. The projection of it either plugged in or acoustic is amazing. Possibly the loudest guitar I've heard acoustically. The 53/10 pickups seem to be a perfect match for this wood combo. I've yet to explore it in it's entirety since I just got it last night, so there will be more to come. The thing that hit me was how easy it was to fret and bend. It has thicker fretwire than what I'm used to, but WOW did it make a difference. Takes little effort to play, almost like it plays itself. It has a nice thick neck, which I am very used to - I hate thin necks. The guitar has a chime to it that I've never heard before. I first noticed it when I played it unplugged, almost like a piano sound. Very hard to explain. All I know is that the crowd loved the way it sounded and many people came up to me later to comment on it. That has never happened before, at least not like this. I will add more as I have more time with it. Still need to check out the split coil sounds and the trem. Pics: Video: If you don't like the blues you should skip this.
  10. One more price drop bump. Maybe I'm meant to keep it. Email me at TheHikingDude@yahoo.com if you have any questions.
  11. Happy New Year Bump Edit: With that one selling on CL for $1100 I'm beginning to think these have lost their niche. Too bad. What's a reasonable price for these now with shipping?
  12. Last price drop before eBay. $1500 including shipping. Someone please buy this so I can keep my car.
  13. Please don't remind me! Here's me pretending to lay down some blues on it. Please forgive my hack playing. Don't worry, I haven't made any more.
  14. Hey guys, I have no sales history here, but I've bought and sold quite a bit on TheGearPage, Harmony Central and eBay (thestratdude). A few things on BirdsAndMoons. If anybody needs specific references just let me know. Please PM me or email at thehikingdude AT Yahoo dot com.
  15. I need to let something go, so I've decided to part with my Hamer Monaco III. I just pulled it out of the case to get a fresh look at it. I'd rate it 9.5/10 for condition. No dings, no fretwear. Includes Original Hardshell Case. All original hardware. Sorry, I have no paperwork for it. This is the only Hamer I've ever owned, but I have to say they hit a homerun with this one. The build quality is amazing. Let me know if you have any questions. $1500 $1400 including shipping. Sorry - NO TRADES More pics: http://jeffblack.smugmug.com/Other/H...84898621_7NJsC Specs: http://www.hamerguit...detail&mid=1441 If you need references just let me know. Bought and sold a ton on TGP and eBay.
  16. Thanks for all the replies! I've been out of town the last few days and my cell phone wasn't the best for trying to get to this post. I was missing playing the M3. Hoping to take it to a jam soon!!! Maybe I'll bring the video camera along with me. Keep on Jammin!
  17. Cool! I don't think I'd seen that one yet. I was able to find a dozen or more videos with him playing his M3. Obviously one of his faves. I ordered his latest CD just yesterday that has the M3 on the CD and on the case. Can't wait to jam along!
  18. Thanks for the pic! I'd read earlier today that Joe has been known to strum an M3, but when I searched for a photo I couldn't find one anywhere. I was starting to wonder if it was just a fable or not.
