  1. Thanks for the URL. Interestingly on the Seymour Duncan site they have a little section for each product that describes the genre of music that each pickup is suited to. There was no mention of funk, it was all Nu-Metal, Rock etc. I know this is subjective - i am using Quarter Pounders (recommended for Metal) and yet get a lot of great comments about my bass sound. The problem with them is that they aren't very percussive which makes it hard work to slap the buggers. I don't slap all the time but when i need to it would be good to have some PuPs that were a bit more percussive.
  2. Happy Easter. Lollars? Do you have a URL for those?
  3. Wow, you guys are quick. The Hartke was just the head and not those suspicious looking aluminium speaker thingys. I used my Ampeg Classic cab with it but it was such a lifeless amp. Really dull. The Little Mark II is incredible and i can't imagine using anything else now. I'll try and post some pics a bit later but gotta rush off to a gig! We are in the semi-final of some competition that started with 110 bands and is now down to the last 10. Wish us luck.
  4. Thanks guys. I am unsure which way to go. My story is that i had a pretty crappy head (Hartke HA3500) which i didn't like as i couldn't get the sound that i hear in my head. So i bought a Little Mark II and Ampeg cab but at the same time replaced the PuPs in the bass for some SD Quarter Pounders. I now have a sound a lot closer to that one in my head - quite agressive in a vintage way but punchy and fat. But now i am starting to think "hmm, i wonder what it would be like with the Fender Custom Shop PuPs... What about these Sadowsky. I have heard about them and TB players seem to rave about them a lot. What makes them so good?
  5. Which pickups came supplied as standard on the 2 tek Cruise 95/96 models? I have recently got one (thats why i joined the HFC). The seller said he had removed the stock PuPs and replaced them with Fender Custom Shop PuPs. If you have changed your pickups which ones have you chosen and why? btw - the bass is amazing! Cruises are really difficult to get in the UK and i was fortunate to find it.
