I met Robben Ford in the mid 80’s at L.A. Music. I purchased a Model: Hamer Chaparral Custom (Code: CHC). This was Hamer's high-end “Superstrat” that he might have used only for studio sessions. The guitar has been in my possession since the mid 80s and is in immaculate condition. I should have taken a photo of me and Robben with the guitar when I bought it off of him. Does anyone have any photos of him playing such a guitar in a studio environment? The serial number of the guitar is 616200. I can not upload an image here it seems but if anyone can help me to confirm this, I would be very grateful.
