Im not quite done with it yet, but it's completely useable. It needs some graphics on the faceplate.
This is my Hammond JCM 2203. Powered by NOS 6V6 Sylvanias, making approximately 22 watts.
Rob Robinette designed.
I used a lot of Hammond organ parts in this. Some visible, some under the hood as they say.
Power and output transformers are Hammond organ, I forget the model #. Power switch and indicator pilot light from the same organ.
Grill cloth, Hammond nameplate from the same as well.
Some of the electrical components are from the organ, most are new sourced parts
My original idea was to use cabinet wood for this amp, but I used it on the BlackVibe that I built a couple of years ago.
This is 1/2" ply, stained and clear coated. Back panel needs to be cut. I want that to be a Hammond piece as well if
I can get it cut right.
Fun project, sound like a Marshall should. I might cut the treble some inside, I run the treble about 0 right now.
I haven't decided on speakers yet. I use a Mojotone British series greenback right now. I have the organ speakers but need to build a cab for them. I'll see how they sound.
