The final VFE overdrive takes the Dragon overdrive circuit an adds a clean blend, separate slope switches, and a switch to toggle between dynamic and saturated tones. It is my definitive overdrive design after 8 other versions across 18 years (three versions of the Proto OD, three versions of the Pale Horse, and two versions of the Dragon). To use the same custom-made pots as the RUP to meet minimum-order requirements. Without this design, the RUP can't happen. To develop a new drill template using the 1590B that I can use in 2027 and beyond. The vendors I work with that can drill/paint the 1590B2 don't do 1-offs. To design a pedal that is super easy to build. I took inspiration from the JHS NOTAKLON build to minimize the number of hand-soldered joints. I want to build & test this pedal in under 10 minutes. To create the definitive & final version of my first custom-designed circuit - the Proto OD.
