AdmiralB Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 I've been after another batch of Floyd II plates for a while. Since Fender and Floyd dissolved their relationship, things aren't as easy to get as they used to be.My store placed an order directly with Schaller a ways back and it arrived last week. UNFORTUNATELY they shipped Original plates, not IIs. I've never seen plates for the Originals available separately before; I bought one for my cruddy old SS2, but otherwise have no use for them since my other guitars have recess routs and Originals won't fit.BUT, if anyone out there needs to replace an original plate, they have at least three chrome units and two more black ones. They're surprisingly reasonable (i.e. less than $25) each. It would help them get out from under inventory they'll probably never move (even if it is less than $100 worth) and it's a chance to pick up parts you don't run across every day.The store is IRC Music in Indianapolis. (317) 849-7965, ask for Mark and tell him Bob Clear hipped you.
Guest Mike Lee Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 Any chrome lefty plates? I know, but I had to ask...Next time you're in Indy, give me a ring.
AdmiralB Posted April 11, 2005 Author Posted April 11, 2005 Nope, nothing for the possessed 10% out there.I'm rarely in Indy these days - I changed jobs (working in Columbus now), and since Columbus has most of the things I went to Indy for (Target, Lowe's, et al) there's not much reason to head up there.
Guest Mike Lee Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 Different company? Who are you working for now?
AdmiralB Posted April 11, 2005 Author Posted April 11, 2005 Dorel Juvenile Group (nee COSCO, to Columbus types). Gotta admit, making baby seats is more satisfying than making caskets.
