mrhappy Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 Yeah I'am looking for a good classic PAF rock sound. No high output ceramic magnet distortion pickups.I just popped in a set of seths that I had laying around, but believe it or not the bridge pickup has a little bit to much high end for my taste.Maybe the lower vintage output of the seths with the big maple top in the studio just does not mix well.Sounds like you might prefer something with matched coils to round off the top a bit. Try sticking a 57 classic in the bridge position... or if you need a bit more heat an Angus sig.
