bizzwriter Posted May 24, 2008 Posted May 24, 2008 Hey, guys. I have three NOS RCA greyplate 6K6GTs leftover from when I had a THD Bivalve amp. That amp is long gone, and my Emery Superbaby won't take them without choking. The 6K6GT is essentially a lower-power 6V6GT, and only certain amps can use them -- the THD Univalve and Bivalve for sure, plus some of the other amps that take a variety of octal power tubes like the Emery Microbaby. These tubes were used in some of the early '60s Fender reverb units as drivers. Some guys even stick them in their 5E3 amps with a rebias to bring down the volume while upping the mojo. Come in cool original red, black, and white RCA boxes (dated 9-1960).Oh -- did I mention FREE to my HFC bros?
