santellavision Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 For Sale: 2006 Malden Liquid. Olympic White/Torty guard. Excellent condition. Plays great, low action, rippy tone and intonates perfectly. I just need to make room and create some cash for some recent expensive purchases (Suhr Badger amp and Fractal Processor) Basswood body, Nice, beefy, fat Maple/Rosewood neck. I’d call it a Medium C. (It’s slightly fatter than my Fender Relic 60’s neck) Clean fret dressing. 9.5 radius. Narrow & tall frets with no playing wear. Super-tight neck pocket too. It really looks practically brand new, except… the only bugger on it is, I also replaced the tuners with some upgraded Fender tuners (The originals were a bit sloppy) The new tuners really are 1000% better. But, when I put the new tuners on it, I didn’t do a perfect job I chipped the lacquer a tiny bit when opened up the E/B tuner holes and made a few marks on the headstock. (I’ll leave my future mods to the pros like BCR Greg). Not too bad, purely cosmetic. It originally came with a white pickguard (that I will include) But, I bought a cool Torty guard directly from Malden which I think looks better. It’s a nice weight at 7lbs 9oz. It didn’t come with a case, but I’ll throw in a decent gig bag. It’s hard to describe just how cool these guitars are, especially for the price. I was blown away when I got it.
