Same as the “25th anniversary” model except for the pickups (this one has two Duncan ‘59s; 25th had JB/Seth combo). Near mint, minor polish swirl, with OHSC in great condition, all case candy, and COA. Beautiful transparent cherry finish so you can see the wood grain. Special spec’d Plek job by Joe Glaser (see below). Slipstone Delrin nut for excellent tuning stability. Great sounding semi-hollow design and tone but with comfortable body size like a Hamer FM Special. Check out the universally glowing reviews of this and the 25th anniversary model on Harmony Central. Note: Looks more "deep cherry" than in the pics and the grain is easily visible through the finish. Twin humbucker design with real Honduras mahogany body, neck, and top (the mahogany associated with the best vintage Gibsons) set neck construction, 24.5” scale length. Semi hollow construction with F hole. Seymour Duncan ’59 Bridge and Neck Pickups. Grover Tuners. The all mahogany construction with sound chamber give it a fantastic clean tone for jazz, with great natural compression and very focused, round tone. Also sounds huge overdriven, with lots of sustain and fat tone that works for blues or rock. No feedback at high volume/gain levels. Neck is a comfortable medium, similar to what the Gibson Custom Shop calls a 60’s profile, but larger than the Gibson USA 60s profile. Measures .86" at the 1st fret, .92" at the 12th fret, identical to my ’93 Hamer FM special. Frets Plekked by Joe Glaser, national rep for Plek and luthier to the Nashville stars. If you don’t know what a Plek job is, its an ultra accurate fret leveling done by computer. Check out Plek This isn’t your daddy’s plek job though. It’s a special spec job that Joe and I came up with because the normal “low action” Plek job wouldn’t suffice for where I like my action set. Allows for very low action with minimal buzz. You won’t find another Hamer that plays this well. I’ll set it up with 9s, 10s, 11s, or 12s for you and intonate it for the new gauge. I hate getting guitars with dead rusty strings and crap setups; I’ll make sure you get it set up, intonated, and playing well. Ask any questions and bid with confidence.
