Selling a number of items. New here but I have a few transactions here and tons on TGP and ebay. Trades might include a nice artist, duotone custom, or phantom, or axe-fx.

(1) Takamine Limited Edition 1996 (LTD96) acoustic electric. Only 800 made and these are very well regarded, see harmony central for reviews. http://reviews.harmony-central.com/r...ine/LTD96/10/1

Intricate and artistic inlay work. Perhaps what is best about these, though is the comfort and sound, particularly for playing plugged in. Unlike any other acoustic I'veplayed, it has easy fret access all the way to the 21st fret, and is very fast. (yes 21 frets , not 20). Accuracoustic electronics sounds great. Is is simply in great shape, some expected pick scuffing below the soundhole, maybe a minor indentation here or there you'd have to scour for. OHSC. $900. PRICE DROP FOR QUICK SALE!

(2) I also have a set of Suhr S-90 P-90 pickups for sale, $150. Set of 2 Suhr S-90 pickups. Awesome P-90 replacements!

(3) 1996 Custom Shop ES-336, really my #1 right now. Rare with snakehead, brazilian board, and provenance letter detailing history from dealer. $2300. PRICE DROP!

Up for sale is a very rare Gibson Custom Shop piece from 1996. This is not the CS-336, but the rare precursor to it made when the custom shop was developing the smaller body semihollow instrument. It comes with the straight pull headstock, very rare, and a 6 digit serial number. There is one small ding on the back edge on the bottom, a couple of other small marks by the neck strap pin, a little bit of buckle worming.

This one was sent to a dealer as a special present by Custom Shop head Ren Fergusen. It comes with signed letter from the dealer indicating its provenance. Essentially, the dealer states that he was at a NAMM show and helped Ren find availability of a certain part Ren thought he was going to have to fabricate when Ren was getting the Gibson Custom Shop back in line. As a present, Ren handpicked this one and sent it to the dealer.

The dealer's quick description of it is as follows; the letter is two pages and much more descriptive:

"This is NOT a CS 336, which came later or even the ES 336 which you know and love. It is a prototype CUSTOM SHOP ES 336. Very different animal.

I was a Gibson dealer back in 1996 and to do me a favor, my rep sent me some crazy unusual instruments--one of them this prototype.

There may be others out there, but I have never seen one. It has the string inline headstock, with the word Gibson inlaid in Pearl.

It has a sunburst top with a flat back, which was the inspiration for all the guitars that came after it, like the Johnny A, etc.

It has a solid piece of wood through the body connected to the neck, but has a CARVED top with hollow f holes, and a custom profile neck, unlike anything on any other guitar.

Double cutaway, two 57 humbuckers and the custom shop stamp just above the truss rod cover, not on the back of the neck! Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays.

It plays and screams like nothing you have ever played, jazzy, light weight, but a rocker too--

Direct from Ren Fergeson when he was rebuilding the Custom shop for Gibson."

Also comes with all hang tags, and the Custom Shop case, and the provenance letter, and an email in which the dealer confirms it is Brazilian. GREAT looking caramel burst, not as cherry as the pics.
