shark_bite Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 Hey y'all... new to the HFC, but I'm a regular over at TGP. Anyway, I figured I should post this up here too... I'm looking to trade a couple guitars for something new and shiny. Each one's probably worth around $600. I'm sure you all know what you're looking at here with the Hamer. It's a 92/93, Duncan P90s, and it screams. No complaints in the tone department, I'm just not sure the faster Hamer neck is for me. The Strat is a MIJ 57RI neck on a chambered (chambered!) Warmoth body, so it's super light. It's got CS69s and it sounds like a million bucks. Unfortunately, it doesn't feel much at all like my JM Strat, which makes it kind of disconcerting for me to switch back and forth between the two. What am I looking for? Shit. What am I NOT looking for? Something fun. If at all possible I'd like to trade these both to someone who's got a nicer guitar or amp. Stuff with P90s, maybe an LP... that'd be good. Nothing pointy or shreddy or excessively modern. I hate modern stuff. Looking to upgrade, not downgrade, so most likely not going to be interested in anything not American made. As far as amps go, as long as it isn't Peavey, Crate, solid state, high-gain or Blackface-voiced, I'm probably at least interested in considering the offer, as long as it's a combo (or you're offering to include a cab).
