gahboo Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 Condition needs to be minty. I would consider an Artist Mahogany with HBs if the neck shape is identical to the Vanguard, which has a relatively fat neck, flatter fretboard, wider nut and thinner fretwire. (At least compared to my Special). I do not care about a case. If you want to trade, I have an 81 Hamer Special and a Robin Strat clone (TX made) that I am looking to flip. Please email contact_ksmith AT yahoo DOT com. I do not check this board very often. Thank you very much.
edgar_allan_poe Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 The Mahogany Artist and Vanguard are the same guitar. They just changed the name IIRC. There may be a difference in neck profile depending on the year of manufacture. The fret wire and radius should be identical.

I have a Vanguard with P90s that I want ot match. The neck is really nice for me. I bought an old SPecial that sounds wonderful, but the slim neck and I just are not getting along.
