benum47 Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 I purchased two guitars recently with the understanding (of my patient wife) that I would pick one to keep and sell theother one.The '64 SG JR I just got from Lockbody has nosed out the Yamaha Phil X guitar (1801PX)http://www.flickr.com/photos/78014536@N06/8555048757/The Yamaha 1801PX is from a limited run of 12 only available in Canada. Great guitar, the pickup sounds amazing and theneck feels awesome. It sounds as good as the Vintage Gibson 90 but with a better tone control (really usable neck-typetones just using the tone knob!) I'd rather keep them both but a deal is a deal :-(It's been out of the case for me to play at my house a half dozen times and is, of course, in brand new condition. WithCase etc. and a signed Phil X CD.Pictures of it's sibling: (the one I have is the serial before):http://www.kaosmusiccentre.com/products_new_files/800c3afdb5b8f1affa1eb4b848bccb8c-43.htmlYamaha site:http://ca.yamaha.com/en/products/musical-instruments/guitars-basses/el-guitars/signature_models/sg1801px/Looking for $2700 OBO shipped (standard ground with insurance) and paypalled to US/Canada(I paid 2199 + tax and shipping from Toronto to me in Edmonton)Will consider a trade if its something vintage (or a Trussart)In a trade scenario, I'd just have to figure out some way to square it up with the missus :-)
