Ideas for new pickups for a Prototype

Alright thank for the tip about the brightness of the sustain block. I will see if i can get those pickups. Although I don't think a new ring will do me any good. The cavity has the same rounded corners as the ring. Tried test fitting a covered pickup and the corners pushed against the cavity so the pickup slanted \ towards the bridge opposite the way the ring is slanted. A cheapie humbucker I pulled out of a slammer series was pretty snug kept it level with the body instead of the strings. A little disappointing but now i got a guitar I like and wont be afraid of taking screwdriver and soldering iron to. Been wanting a guitar like this for a long while. Its going to be a fun summer experimenting with this guitar.
