FatherJones.Com Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 This was the long described "Switch Plate Special" that was on ebay several months ago. I'm selling it now. Seymour Duncan Phat Cats -- Sustain Block -- Grovers -- Cherry flame, 1980. Only problem: a fool had put a weird route under the bridge (Kahler?) and I inherited the problem. I covered over the fill job that some nut did -- wood and filler -- with a piece of flamed ebony veneer. I realize that I could never make it look perfect -- so I didn't even try. It just looks pleasant. But with the sustain block bridge in place, the Phat Cat pickups, and the slab of mahogany and brazilian rosewood for a guitar -- this thing just sounds sooooooo bluesy and fine.Problem -- I'm a fat finger, and this thing's neck is too thin for me.Original Hard Shell Case, plush lined, says Hamer on it. This guitar is fabulous, one obvious blemish is the redo of the bridge area, and that's it. I have $675 in this baby ($300 for pickups and sustain block bridge). It's sold for $500 -- it has to go.Pictures on request -- Father Greg Jones at creedal@gmail.com
