I was asked to inspect and take pics of 0310s headstock as there was some question as to whether or not the headstock had been broken and repaired.  After close inspection using various methods, and in my professional opinion, the headstock of 4-digit #0310 has never been broken or repaired.

The seams around the serial # and tuners are factory wood seams that are now showing due to >40 years of aging/thermal effects/shrinkage etc.   The mark at the low E beside the nut is a blemish along with finish crack that occurs for the same reasons stated.   In my opinion 0310 is a great example of an unbroken/unmodified, low milage original 4-digit.   See attached pics under normal and black lighting.  The finish on the entire guitar is completely original.   If there are any other questions please let me know while I still have access to the guitar.
