Jack, In all seriousness, do you understand why it is so expensive for Hamer to build you the Chap? It's not as simple as them wanting to. These guitars are built through the use of pre-programmed electronic templates and patterns..essentially a cnc machine. Necks, bodies etc OF THE CURRENT PRODUCT LINES are all mass constructed and assembled systematically. The Chap and all of it's design charateristics and therefore equipment and machine settings were all shelved ages ago. They cannot be recalled that easily, it would mean the complete reorganization of a number of staffers and the equipment that is used to built not only the Chap you want, but the rest of the product line as well. Can you see why this is so excruciatingly costly? Think of the assembly line at Ford and how customized it is to the current year of cars, suddenly someone wants a '68 Mustang. They'd have to virtually rebuild the entire factory to make that happen. Jackson, Charvel etc. are still using the shredder manufacturing designs and therefore do not have to recreate the wheel to build one. Go with the Jackson.
