  1. I remember seeing one of these when they came out in 2007, a limited run of 50 for the Canadian distributor of Gibson (Yorkville Sound). I believe it's based on a 1963 335 custom with factory Bigsby (with a plate over the holes for the regular bridge). It was going for crazy money (3k+ I think) back then but I found one local for 2200 yesterday. I traded a Gibson songwriter deluxe 12 acoustic and an Epiphone Les Paul Custom for it. Do you think it's limited run origin (1 of 50) will impact its value in the future? For now, I'm digging the way it plays and sounds...
  2. That sucks for sure, if I was in that boat I would mess around with slide during the times I couldn't fret. You'll get value out of slide practice including useful ear/intonation training. Not to mention a slide can sound really great when you get really good at it (Trucks &" Landreth being two current masters)
  3. Strange that they kept the middle pickup and sacrificed the neck pickup to make a smoker. One of the points of having a les paul is that creamtastic neck pickup sound. Any way..congrats on setting things to right. Looks great
  4. They played here in Edmonton last week on the 11th (I heard it was not that great). Hopefully its not due to anyone's health Here's the article: http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/van-halen-postpone-summer-tour-dates-20120517
