  1. I did not say that he would. I worded my statement carefully because I knew what your response would be, yet I got it anyways.
  2. This is overpriced. The last time I checked rough numbers with Shishkov, which is about a year ago, I could get what I wanted for about $5500 as he priced it. I sold an Ultimate within a year for $5500. There are custom builders that will build you a new Explorer based model for less than this Hamer. This is Standard lunacy. IF you foolishly buy what Hamer owners are exuberantly reaching for, you should foolishly lose lots of your $ at resale.
  3. I 'd like to start a discussion about the present real value of Hamer USA guitars. I'm not really interested in dealer irrational prices like Diablo Guitars and the like. I have a particular disdain for anyone who attempts to push values to the heights that aren't sustainable- you buy it, you probably couldn't re-sell at that price. My opinion is that the values have become very difficult to determine. Hamer owners are posting prices on Reverb that are high and are not selling, but yet the prices don't ever get lowered. The guitars just sit there. What is going on? The Market has changed. The guitars listed at what I would consider a honest value sell immediately, virtually on the spot. This new market seems to be very polar, whereas the years leading up to now prices were very stable, only occasionally I would see a guitar sky-high priced or a low-ball deal. An amazing, really good deal seems to have become a fantastical unicorn. A $4400 Diablo- come on. Whoever you are that is listing these, you should be put in some kind of smouldering purgatory to repent for your sins. You and the Wall-Streeters selling credit swaps in 2005. I hate you both.

  6. Anybody know if Hamer sourced the pickup surrounds from Seymour Duncan or ? I'm gonna put in some Seth Lovers instead of the Phat Cats and would like to install new black surrounds instead of the chrome ones. I'd prefer to get an exact fit by using the same surrounds if possible. Are the pots a different value for the Phat Cats vs the Lovers?
  7. SOLD $5500- I bought this about a year ago. I believe it's chambered because it's light. Excellent condition, near mint- I can't find any marks of any kind or fret wear. The neck is fairly thick, thicker than any 2000s Hamer that I've played. Private message me for questions. We can work out shipping if necessary for the actual cost.
