I own one with LEDs! Pretty silly feature- but great guitar from the early 90's. Braz board too.

I have a custom ordered Newport in the air as I type this- just wanted to know what I could have had and for what price. I wouldn't be surprised if the top came from the same tree as yours.

I enjoy the elegance/purity of a blank ebony board. Kinda like a fine classical guitar or violin etc. Plus, who actually uses the face inlays for navigation? I certainly don't. There are also folk who claim that a blank board produces the best tone... Thanks for the help chaps.

Thanks for the info so far, guys- though I'm pretty certain that at least one custom order on this board was slugged for having a blank board. In regard to the ebony HS overlay, if it's only guitars carrying the custom label, I'd be interested to see what the cost was for a Newport. Pirate, how much did that braz overlay set you back?

Hey all, some time back I came across a thread in which somebody noted that there's a charge for the deletion of inlays on custom orders (perhaps it was Pesocaster?) As it's not on the price list, anybody care to chime in on what it costs to have the blank board done? Well I'm at it, do ebony headstock overlays come standard on custom orders, or is that a separate charge also?
