UPDATE: We did the plane and refret. Still for sale, just updated price to to $999 plus shipping to account for the work: https://www.guitarmalfk.com/shop/c/p/Robin-Freedom-II-x95909696.htm

Check out this Very Good+ condition Robin Freedom II bass in Robins Egg Blue?? (prob Surf Green). This one has had the works - new ElectroSocket output jack plate, HipShot triple string tree, new bone nut and a complete plane and refret as the neck was wavy-gravy unplayable when we first got it. We opted for a satin nitro finish on the neck versus a gloss. This appears to be an early import model (ESP-build) based on tilt neck, skunk stripe and that it originally had a two-string round string tree, but we can't pinpoint anything definitively. Original body finish, pickups, internal electronics - sounds HUGE and plays very, very good. The humbuckers are something else. Very articulate and punchy. Neck is clean as it gets, frets are perfect. Body shows some light wear - a few divots and dings - but is extremely clean considering this one is at least 30 years old.

No case or gigbag, but will be packed accordingly if shipping.

Heya!

I know we've got some Robin fans here.

I have a Very Good+ cosmetic condition Robin Freedom II bass in Robins Egg Blue?? (prob Surf Green) for sale.

We bought it from a repair customer who just wanted out from under it after he saw the repair quote. That was after we had already put on a new ElectroSocket output jack plate, HipShot triple string tree and a new bone nut. So it does have that going for it!

Looks great, sounds great, BUT - after a fret dress, we still couldn't get the buzz ironed out. Neck is a bit wavy-gravy and it will need plain and refret to play right.

Anyways, our repair shop has gotten too busy to work this one in without sacrificing timelines on customer work, so we're looking to move it along to one of you fine folks!

Customer indicated it was an early import model (ESP) based on tilt neck, skunk stripe and that it originally had a two-string round string tree, but I can't pinpoint anything definitively.

$shipped/payment method of your choice.

No case or gigbag, but will be packed accordingly. More pics available upon request.
