Guest cruster Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 Midland, here. The Toyota thing is a riot..for every tree they took out of the site, they had to plant two more somewhere else. And the newly planted trees are tagged, if they die in the next five years, Toyota has to replace those, too. Any undergrowth/shrubbery (I guess green stuff that isn't a tree) had to be replaced one for one. The punch line is that they could have gone in and had the trees cleared out (completely even!) *before* the survey and they wouldn't have had to replace a single one. Live and learn...
